East China’s Jiangsu province has introduced incentive measures for its "Beautiful Bay" demonstration project with a view to mobilizing the enthusiasm of coastal cities and counties through financial incentive measures, and promoting the continuous improvement of the marine ecological environment in the province.
The Provincial Department of Finance and the Provincial Department of Ecological Environment recently issued the Incentive Measures for Beautiful Bay Demonstration Project in Jiangsu Province.
Jiangsu has a long coastal line, making it difficult to manage the mudflat. The reward measures issued by the provincial authorities support important coastal sections with close natural ecological ties formed by the combination of complete bays or estuaries, mudflat wetlands, islands and other typical habitats to apply for beautiful bay construction projects.
The Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and the Provincial Department of Finance will organize the application for the provincial demonstration project of beautiful bay construction every year, and incorporate into the project library management the projects that have been evaluated by experts as the provincial beautiful bay demonstration projects.
In order to fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of coastal cities and counties, the Provincial Department of Finance will provide a reward fund of 15 million yuan for the provincial demonstration projects
The project rated as an excellent case of national beautiful bay will receive an additional prize of 5 million yuan.
